Dill and Green Onion Dip
Covid-19 Stay at Home/Social Distancing day 32 - shopping looks a little different and as humans we cannot survive on what is in our pantry and freezer alone so Big Spazz and I took a drive to the "country" and ordered a $20 whatever veggies you have" box from a local restaurant called Dimple Cheek in Mountain View, Hawaii island. We have never been there, but my mom swears by the box so we ordered and showed up for pickup. We got a fun mix of items including a pineapple and one apple so I have been posting some things I have been doing with the veggies, including making quick Japanese cucumber pickles with one of the two cukes and blanched beet tops with shoyu mayo dip (no recipe, just Best Foods mixed with shoyu).
But this post is on the dill and green onion dip.
I am going to serve this with the other cucumber and one of the bell peppers because it is August style hot/muggy here in Hawaiʻi right now and no access to the beach unless you want to constantly swim and tread water then go back home.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c mayonnaise
- 1/2 c sour cream
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 T garlic powder
- 2 1/2 T chopped dill
- 1 T or more chopped green onion
Directions:
Mix everything in a bowl and put in the refrigerator for at least half an hour to meld the flavors.
